About Rosette M. Signorelli

 

Ms. Signorelli has over 25 years experience in counseling. Currently in her private psychotherapy practice, she uses her wide range of professional experience counseling clients with individual and family issues.


Ms. Signorelli was a stepmother in a family of seven and used her personal and professional experience to co-found Stepfamily Resources in St. Louis. This lead to developing a unique stepmothers' group and a couples' group for those preparing for or currently in a stepfamily relationship. 


She continues to develop and provide services to those divorcing and those remarrying. Her practice is devoted to peaceful collaboration for the ultimate good of all parties, especially children borne of the marriage.


After multi-level teaching for nine years, Ms. Signorelli completed her Masters in Clinical Social Work at St. Louis University.

Working within the judicial system of the St. Louis County Family Court, she provided individual, group and family therapy focused on delinquent, neglected/abused, and emotionally disturbed children. She also counseled single parents and couples struggling with life issues.

Ms. Signorelli trained and supervised Masters' Level Social Work counselors,
as an Adjunct Professor at St. Louis University and a staff of social workers
at the St. Louis County Family Court.

Ms. Signorelli taught at Washington University, University of Missouri, St. Louis and at Maryville University.

Ms Signorelli has also been a guest on national and local television and radio talk shows. She continues to accept invitations to speak locally to a variety of audiences.

Ms. Signorelli has completed many hours of post-graduate training in various therapeutic disciplines, resulting in certificates from the Menninger Foundation and the Critical Incident Stress Management Team. She has been a Certified Gestalt Therapist since 1993. She is currently pursuing studies in Internal Family Systems Therapy and Jungian Oriented Sand Tray and Dream Therapy. She is a member of The St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute, NASW, Psychotherapy St. Louis, the AFCC, and MCSW.

In addition to her regular practice, Ms. Signorelli  provides therapy using Annie, a labrador retriever, who was specially trained as a Therapeutic Touch Support Dog  through Support Dogs in 2006. Annie has been a wonderful addition to Ms. Signorelli’s practice and is loved by many clients.

In Rosette Signorelli’s private general practice, her mission is to compassionately collaborate with her client to attain peace of mind and heart,  build self-confidence and self-esteem, discover core issues, and use gentle   realignment processes to inspire a spiritual journey toward a passionate life.
